This morning was a random morning to wake up before three am and practice sun salutation
Jay woke up too, and we followed our intuition
Time to meditate and set our daily intention
There’s a peaceful breeze this morning with notes floating in on top of it from outside, bringing in cool, humid air that mixes with our chamomile incense. It gives off a fresh vibe and a campfire undertone.
Jay is up and he’s calm, playing marjong
He started talking to Lil Bit as she stepped back into our home and sauntered, descending the hallway.
It’s cool and of you glance out of the East window, the sun has lit the sky although out of the West window it still seems a little bit grey.
Prefect for a Saturday!
We get up early to head to my CNA skills test, and the cat follows us around as if she’s coming too.
We share a cup of coffee and talk about last night’s cacao. It tasted a lot like hot cocoa, but there was still something earthy about it. I wonder whether that comes more from the aroma or from the flavor itself.
I drink some water and think about the journaling I’ve been doing on core values. While you run off to the restroom, I take my medication.
I’m nervous, mellow, excited, and ready all at once. I really want to pass this time. I’m still frustrated about the last two attempts, especially because I missed the vitals portion. But today feels different. I’m showing up prepared, and I’m ready to see what today brings.
Today is the first time I’ve used a bullet journal. While Jay was napping, I wrote him a note of appreciation for his mirror, wrote a prayer for his healing, and wrote down our memories.
We just got hom from a picnic trip in the canyon, riding down between the rustling glimmer of green leaves with butterflies opening and flapping their wings, sometimes slowly, othertimes passing the windows at higher speeds
like a photograph held in my mind though im snapping a still image within my imagination
I was talking to my grandma and she was describing the weather in West Valley. When she talks, it makes my world seem a bit more colorful or animate. She told me a little hummingbird appeared at her window and she told me he was lingering a little longer than usual. So I told her it’s because he has a message from an angel and that’s why they do that. She sounded equally cheerful. Then she went on talking, asking if I was feeling alright. I told her yes, but that my legs were achey. She told me three times it was goox talking with you, so I told her I’ll try to stop by on Saturday. I didn’t really wang to hang up. I can’t wait to visit her and ask her what she’s been reading.
Through the challenging seasons of life—much like a flexible green tree in the grey storm outside—we have overcome shared challenges together in unity, growing in hope and trust along the way.
I know that, in time, we’ll achieve the goals we share. We started our journey carrying the weight of trauma, but we no longer live in the repeating cycles of despair that shaped our past relationships. Together, we’ve chosen healing over survival, trust over fear, and hope over hopelessness. I’m grateful for the life we’re building togetherLast night I was having trouble falling asleep. Jay put down his phone which he was busy on and I rubbed his shoulder, legs and feet while he talked to me and we shared some stories about our trauma in relationships and how we felt growing up. We could relate. We talked through it and he reaussured me I’m normal for me but maybe not everybody’s normal like anyone else. I felt relaxed and more motivated.
